Who We Are

Texas Land & Air Company’s (TXLA) roots go back nearly 25 years when Greg Dippel, a predecessor company founder, began his career as a local pick up and delivery driver. In 1993 he founded ASAP Delivery as a local pick up and delivery provider in Austin, TX. As the High-Tech sector began to boom in Austin, ASAP moved its focus into High Tech freight as a specialty transportation service provider. The service provided to the local market was well received and the Company began to grow outside of Austin. Expansion came first into Dallas, then Houston and soon after into every major market in an around Texas. Today, TXLA proudly serves all of Texas with a full compliment of transportation solutions.

In 2005, led by a strong and experienced management team, the TXLA brand was born. A new and focused Mission was articulated, built around the key elements TXLA management strongly believes in. Those key elements are; Customers, Employees, Safety & Security and Community. With a new focus and a clear plan, TXLA management set out to build a full stable of transportation solutions for our Customer base; the forwarders, 3PL’s and other 3rd party providers. While serving the Expedited Less than Truckload, Truckload and Exclusive Use Vehicle needs of our Customers, TXLA found that the same sense of urgency, the same flexibility and the same accessibility that Customers demanded from us was missing from their Intermodal providers and truck brokerage providers. At the urging of our Customers, TXLA branched out to provide the service that the Customers demand.

What began as a local pick up and delivery company is now the leading provider of transportation solutions in Texas. TXLA is now, TXLA Expedited, TXLA Intermodal and TXLA Custom. Same company, more options. TXLA strives for the highest standards of Customer care, Safety and Security and maintains the highest designation in DOT Safety Ratings and Security by participating in the C-TPAT program and will work hard to earn and retain your business. We understand the critical needs our Customers face, and will work night and day to meet expectations.

The history of TXLA is rooted in the values and risks taken by the great founders of the Lone Star State. Our Mission is the embodiment of our history and the values that we hold.
